The South Carolina Sporting Clays Association host an Annual Circuit Shoot Points Race. This gives the South Carolina shooters a chance to experience shooting at various clubs, and the opportunity to meet new shooters. We believe this has helped South Carolina expand the sport of “clay shooting.” We hope that it will continue to expand in South Carolina and the surrounding states.
As for this year’s Circuit Shoot Season, we have added two new clubs in the “Race” from our two surrounding states, North Carolina and Georgia. We would like to welcome DeWitt’s Game Farm (Ellerbe, NC) and Elberton Gun Club (Elberton, GA). We believe adding these clubs from surrounding states will help build the sport of “clay shooting” in our home state.

The following are the information and rules for the 2010/2011 Circuit Shoot Season:
All courses must have a minimum of (12) stations set up.
Lunch will be available from 11:30AM until 2:00PM.
Trappers will be provided for each group.
Practice field(s) & game(s) will be available.
Entry fee will be $75.00 per shooter:
$5.00 of each entry will go back to class. Highest score of each class wins pot of each shoot.
$7.50 of each entry will go to the Year End Points Fund. Money will be awarded at the first shoot of the next year’s season.
The following is the breakdown for the Year End Points Fund payouts to top ten shooters of the season:
1st Place - 25% of Cash Pot + Trophy
2nd Place - 18.75% of Cash Pot + Trophy
3rd Place - 12.5 % of Cash Pot + Trophy
4th Place - 10% of Cash Pot + Trophy
5th Place - 6.25% of Cash Pot + Trophy
6th Place - 5% of Cash Pot + Trophy
7th Place - 5% of Cash Pot + Trophy
8th Place - 5% of Cash Pot + Trophy
9th Place - 5% of Cash Pot + Trophy
10th Place - 5% of Cash Pot + Trophy
$7.50 of each entry will go the Year End Drawing Fund. Cash drawings will be awarded at the first shoot of the next year’s season. Each Circuit shoot you participate in, your name will go into a cash drawing. The Cash Pot will be divided into $50.00 cash increments and award as many winners as the pot allows. Winners must be present at the first shoot of the next year’s season to win.
Points Race Rules:
Each shooter is awarded points based on the finish in their class at each tournament.
Shooters earn the same amount of points per class finish, regardless of your class.
Each shooter will be awarded 10 participation points just for attending the shoot.
There will be a total of NINE Circuit Shoots throughout the year.
Each shooter will count top SEVEN finishes.
Shooters that participate in more than seven circuit shoots will be allowed to count 10 participation points for each shoot over 7 attended in their year end point accumulation.

2nd Place: 90pts
3rd Place: 80pts
4th Place: 70pts
5th Place: 60pts
6th Place: 50pts
7th Place: 40pts
8th Place: 30pts
9th Place: 20pts
10th Place & Under: 10 points
